Alif And Hmza

  • Alif is the first letter in Arabic alphabets it look like this ” ا “.
  • Alif does not has any symbol or skoon or harakat.
  • On the other hand hamza is the second last letter of ِِArabic alphabets, it look like this ” ء “.
  • But sometimes Alif is also calls Hamza when it has some symbol or character.
  • Means Alif ا can be transform from plain alif ا to hmza ء when some special characters or symbol or harakat are over or under it.

For example; ا + َ = اَ

Here when zbr َ character is put over alif ا it turns into hmza اَ

though alif hmza آ is different in look from letter hmza ء but it also call hmza.
